UNICEF delivers aid for flood-hit children

Karachi: A plane carrying UNICEF aid consisting 32 metric tons of life-saving supplies to help children affected by floods in Pakistan reached Jinnah International Airport Karachi on Sunday night. 

The UNICEF aid was comprised of medicines and health kits.

The aid was received by UNICEF Pakistan field office Prem Chand along with Sindh Health Minister Azra Fazal Pechuho, Sindh health secretary and officials from foreign ministry. 

In its tweet, UNICEF wrote, “Today, UNICEF delivered 32 metric tons of life-saving supplies to help children affected by floods in Pakistan. These will be immediately dispatched to children and families who need them the most in some of the 72 hardest-hit districts.”
