The humanitarian activist urged the world community to come forward and help Pakistan tackle the flood relief.


Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that Pakistan thanks Special UN Envoy Angelina Jolie and other unsung heroes for becoming the voice of millions of people whose lives and livelihoods have been destroyed by raging floodwaters.
In a tweet on Thursday, he said we will forever remember their empathy and compassion for suffering humanity.

Renowned Hollywood celebrity and UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie vowed to continue raising her voice to the world's attention towards the unprecedented devastation caused by widespread flash floods in Pakistan.
The humanitarian activist urged the world community to come forward and help Pakistan tackle the flood relief.
"I've never seen anything like this before," the actress said as she visited the National Flood Response Coordination Centre (NFRCC) on Wednesday.
Deputy Chairman NFRCC Ahsan Iqbal welcomed the visitor and thanked her for visiting the country. The human rights activist was briefed about the flood response and measures taken thus far.
