"Legal action is necessary as it is a matter of national security"


Islamabad: Federal Cabinet on Sunday decided to take legal action against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and his aides over an alleged audio leak with regard to a diplomatic cypher.
According to the details, the federal cabinet approved the recommendations of a Cabinet Committee through circulation which was formed to inquire about the matter.
The cabinet committee recommended that legal action is necessary as it is a matter of national security.
It recommended forming a committee of senior officials of the Federal Investigation Agency to investigate the matter. The FIA may also include officers and personnel from intelligence agencies in the team
The federal cabinet had formed a committee over the leaked audios on September 30 which recommended legal action over the audios of Imran Khan, Azam Khan and others on October 1.
