Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announces that old prices will remain intact as of October 31

Islamabad: The coalition government on Saturday kept the prices of petroleum products unchanged for the next fortnight.

In a video message from Washington, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar announced that the price of petroleum products in the country would remain unchanged for the next fortnight despite the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority's (OGRA) proposal to reduce the rate of petrol.
“I discussed with the prime minister and it was decided that we will not change the prices of all four products and they will remain the same till October 31,” he said.
The price of petrol remained unchanged at Rs224.80 per litre, high-speed diesel at Rs235.30 per litre, and light diesel oil is Rs191.83.
