PKR loses 43 paisa against dollar in interbank
The dollar closed at Rs220.41 in the interbank trade
Karachi: The Pakistani rupee depriciated against the US dollar on Monday, losing 43 paisa in the local bullion markets.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the local currency lost 43 paisa against the greenback and closed at Rs220.41.
On Friday, the dollar was traded at Rs220.84 against the dollar.
In the open market, the greenback was traded at Rs224.90 on Monday.
Market experts say the improvement in rupee comes after the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) on Friday removed Pakistan, by consensus, from its list of countries under “increased monitoring”, also known as ‘grey list’ after four years.
