WhatsApp down in Pakistan, other countries
Users globally seem to be having problems sending messages on the app.
Lahore: Services of Meta-owned WhatsApp reportedly suffered outages worldwide Tuesday, with users reporting issues sending messages and overall app functionality.
WhatsApp users have complained about disruption in services, as thousands report issues sending messages.
A swathe of users has taken to other forms of social media, such as Twitter to complain about the platform being down.
According to Downdetector, a website that monitors service outages for messaging and social media platforms, there have been 2,079 reports of outages since around 7:50 am this morning (25 October), a stark contrast from the baseline of three.
In the meantime, WABetaInfo, a platform that keeps a watch on developments related to the messaging app, tweeted that “WhatsApp is experiencing an issue when connecting to the server".
The company is yet to share a reason behind the outage.
