Court issues bailable arrest warrant for Sanaullah

Gujranwala: The Anti-Terrorism Court Friday issued a bailable arrest warrant of Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah in a case filed against him in Gujarat's Industrial police station.

According to the details, the court had ordered the police to arrest and produce Sanaullah on March 7.

Earlier on August 5, a case was registered against the minister under the anti-terrorism provisions of the local leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q), Shahkaz Aslam, accusing him of issuing death threats to then-Punjab chief secretary and his family.

According to the First Investigation Report (FIR), the complainant saw the federal minister hurling threats on television.

The Gujarat Police dismissed the case and submitted an extradition report to the court, on which the court dismissed the police report and issued a bailable arrest warrant for the accused.

Issued a show-cause notice to the investigating officer, concerned Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) and Superintendent of Police (SP) Investigation, the court had ordered them to appear in person on March 7.
