Markets, restaurants and wedding halls in Sindh adapt to new closing times, in a bid to reduce energy costs
Karachi: Markets, restaurants and wedding halls in Sindh have been directed to adopt new closing times as per the government's energy-saving policy, in a bid to reduce energy costs.
Following the directions of the federal government under the energy conserving policy, Sindh government has decided to close the restuarants in Karachi by 10pm.
Under the new policy, markets and shopping malls are required to close by 8:30 pm to conserve energy and reduce the burden on the power grid.
The move has been welcomed by many as a positive step towards sustainable energy use, while others have expressed concern about the impact on business operations.
