Islamabad: The lawyers of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan Tuesday filed a petition in Islamabad High Court (IHC) against non-bailable arrest warrant of Imran for non-appearance in Tosha Khana case.

The IHC Chief Justice Aamer Farooq has scheduled the hearing at 2pm in Tosha Khana case, which will be conducted by fulfilling the legal requirements.

In the petition filed by former Prime Minister Imran Khan, he took the position that the hearing on the case should be held today in which the non-bailable arrest warrant issued by Sessions Court should be declared null and void.

It is pertinent to note that last week the court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant against Imran Khan for non-appearance in the Tosha Khana case. Khan’s legal team argued that the non-bailable arrest warrant is unlawful and unconstitutional.

Yesterday, the Subordinate Court of Islamabad rejected Imran Khan's appeal for cancellation of the arrest warrant.
