Islamabad: Federal Minister of Information, Maryam Aurangzeb, responded to Imran Khan's statement, saying that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan is the first leader whose statements are being contradicted by his own party's official account that what Imran said he did not say.

Taking to Twitter, Marriyum criticized Imran Khan, saying, "Don't play with people's minds, don't lie to the nation. That's why fraudsters have to be put in jail."

She also tweeted, “The Federal Minister said that you are a criminal and will remain a criminal. You have not respected society, ethics, politics, or the economy. You have poisoned minds, filled hearts with hatred, and made politics dirty. You have crippled the country. Why did you break assemblies at the behest of Bajwa?,”

The minister further said, “You insulted the people of Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the sake of power, ridiculed the representatives, and mocked their elected assemblies,”.

She stated that he abused the judiciary, threw shoes at the Chief Justice's picture, and take relief packages under the guise of threats.

“If the Chief Justice made a decision in your favor due to the fear of the mother-in-law, children, and wives, they will not let us be now. Those who distort the constitution will not be forgiven by the nation, and we will not let them go,” she added.

She also tweeted, “What is the mother-in-law? She has become the spokesperson for those who throw shoes at the son-in-law’s posters. When the constitution and justice are at the mercy of mothers-in-law, children, and wives, the country has to suffer from turmoil, theft, lies, inflation, and unemployment like Imran." Maryam Aurangzeb also mentioned the Elahi Bukhsh Gabol case in her tweet.
