Islamabad: Islamabad police registered case against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Asad Umar, Raja Khurram Nawaz and 180 party workers for violating Section 144 imposed in Islamabad, GNN reported.

According to details, the case has been registered in Margalla police station.

PTI chairman and former Prime Minister Imran Khan had announced to conduct rally in federal capital Islamabad to show solidarity with judiciary, whereas section 144 had been imposed in the city.

PTI sought permission from Deputy Commissioner (DC) Islamabad in this regard which was denied by the authorities stating that Chinese foreign minister Qin Gang is on the visit of Islamabad and Section 144 has been imposed.

The First Information Report (FIR) read that also the previous rallies conducted by PTI did not follow the oath that they submitted regarding following the conditions.

Therefore, when rally was conducted yesterday (Saturday), many PTI workers were arrested by the police for violating the law.
