The latest reports say that Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has been arrested in a case under charges of corruption registered in Gujranwala.

Lahore: The Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) on Friday re-arrested Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi soon after he was discharged in two cases registered against him by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) under charges of corruption.
The ACE officials arrested him in a case registered against him in Gujranwala.
The latest reports said that Elahi was arrested from the Anti-Corruption Establishment headquarters in Lahore.
Earlier, Judicial Magistrate Ghulam Murtaza presided over the hearing of an anti-corruption application concerning cases registered in Lahore and Gujranwala. The verdict stated that if Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi was not wanted in any other case, he should be released.
Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi appeared in the Lahore district court in connection with two cases registered by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE). The ACE had sought a 14-day physical remand for further investigation.
The former Chief Minister spent the night at the headquarters of the Anti-Corruption Establishment and was transported to court in an armored vehicle amidst tight security measures.
During the proceedings, the prosecutor informed the court about the need for a 14-day physical remand of Parvaiz Elahi to investigate the cases registered against him. The prosecutor alleged that Parvaiz Elahi had abused his powers and caused damage to the treasury.
It is worth noting that Chaudhry Parvaiz Elahi, the President of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former Chief Minister of Punjab, was arrested outside his residence, Zahoor Palace, in Lahore. The arrest is related to an alleged corruption case involving Rs70 million, concerning the misappropriation of development funds designated for the Gujrat district.
In his first comments after the arrest, Parvaiz Elahi urged everyone to stay united. He expressed his unwavering support for the Pakistani Army and faith in the country's judiciary. He advised people to remain united, as difficult times shall pass.
The police returned former Deputy Prime Minister and Chief Minister Parvaiz Elahi to the headquarters of the anti-corruption unit. He had been evading arrest since May 9 and reiterated his full support for PTI Chairman Imran Khan.
Punjab's interim Information Minister, Amir Mir, called on the arrested PTI President, Pervaiz Elahi, to refrain from attempting to become a political martyr by making false accusations against Punjab Interim Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi. He reminded Elahi that he was arrested for his alleged corruption and that his own party leader had previously referred to him as the "dacoit of Punjab."
Mir emphasized that the caretaker government of Punjab remains impartial and non-political.
Former Chief Executive of Punjab, Parvaiz Elahi, is expected to face another case, this time for alleged abuse of power, as authorities tighten the noose around the arrested PTI President. The sources suggested that an investigation would be launched into alleged favoritism in the construction of the new building of the Punjab Assembly.
The sources also claimed that during his tenure as the speaker of the provincial assembly, Elahi unlawfully recruited numerous individuals. Furthermore, it is alleged that Muhammad Iqbal Bhatti, believed to be Parvaiz Elahi's front man, provided "evidence" to the investigative agencies.
