Hybrid model for Asia Cup is likely expected by Sri Lanka
India-Pakistan games are expected to take place in either Pallekele or Galle.
Lahore: Asian Cricket Council (ACC) is expected to give the green light to Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) proposed hybrid model for the Asia Cup 2023.
According to sources, Sri Lanka will serve as the neutral venue for the tournament.
Under the hybrid model, Pakistan will host only four matches, while the rest will be played in Sri Lanka.
The highly anticipated India-Pakistan matches are likely to take place in either Pallekele or Galle.
An official announcement from the ACC is anticipated in the coming days.
This decision opens the possibility for Pakistan to travel to India for this year's World Cup, should the hybrid model be approved.
Asia Cup, scheduled from September 1-17, will play a crucial role in preparing teams for the upcoming ODI World Cup.
