Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) rejected the government resolution passed in the National Assembly to prosecute the cases against May 9 miscreants under the Military Act.
A meeting of the National Assembly was held under the chairmanship of Speaker Raja Pervez Ashraf in which Defense Minister Khawaja Asif presented a resolution against PTI.
According to the text of condemnation resolution regarding May 9, a party and its leader crossed all limitations on May 9. They attacked military installations, flouting the constitution and law.
Their attacks made the state institutions and irreparably damaged the country. The action should be completed against them under the constitution and law.
Later, PTI rejected the resolution passed in the National Assembly saying that the government resolution is an attempt to save the original planners of May 9.
