Mahtab Aziz, the legal representative for Adil Raja, says that his client was arrested from his residence and subsequently detained at a local police station based on complaints filed by Pakistani authorities.

London: Major (retd) Adil Raja, a prominent YouTuber, has been released shortly after being arrested by British police on suspicions of promoting acts of terrorism within Pakistan, as confirmed by his lawyer during a press conference on Wednesday.
Mahtab Aziz, the legal representative for Adil Raja, stated that his client was arrested from his residence and subsequently detained at a local police station based on complaints filed by Pakistani authorities. However, Aziz firmly asserted his belief that Raja had no involvement in terrorism encouragement or any unlawful activities.
Aziz further revealed that a serious terrorism-related warrant had been issued against Raja in Pakistan. He expressed concern that the manner of Raja's arrest seemed to fall under anti-terrorism laws, emphasizing the gravity of the allegations made against his client.
As of now, the London police did not issue an official statement regarding the matter.
Meanwhile, Adil Raja took to Twitter in the afternoon to inform his followers that he was in good health and would continue his peaceful struggle. However, he did not address his recent arrest or subsequent release.
In a tweet, the former military officer stated, “There have been many rumors about me and my well-being. Alhamdulillah, I am well. I remain fully committed to raising a voice against fascism and for democracy in Pakistan,”.
It is worth noting that Adil Raja, along with journalist Shaheen Sehbai, Haider Raza Mehdi, and Wajahat Saeed Khan, has been booked on charges of terrorism and sedition.
