Lahore:  An Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Monday rejected the bail plea of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Yasmin Rashid for her alleged involvement in a case concerning arson and speeches against state institutions.

ATC Admin Judge Abher Gull Khan made the decision, and remarked that Yasmin Rashid's legal representatives had consistently failed to appear before the court.

The court dismissed the bail plea of the PTI leader, upholding her detention in connection with the case. Previously, Yasmin Rashid had been released by the ATC in a separate case related to the vandalism of Corps Commander House in Lahore, commonly known as Jinnah House, on May 9.

Yasmin Rashid, PTI's Central Punjab President, was apprehended under section three of the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO).
