Health cards continue to facilitate deserving people
"The treatment is 100% free in government hospitals,” said Mohsin Naqvi.
Lahore: Caretaker Chief Minister of Punjab Mohsin Raza Naqvi said that Health Card facility is not being halted at all as it continues to facilitate the treatment of poor people.
According to details, Caretaker Chief Minister visited the Akbar Chowk flyover project in Lahore late at Sunday night and reviewed the progress of the work.
Mohsin Naqvi, while talking to media, said that misuse of health card has been stopped, heart surgeries have not been stopped at all, adding that: “Only 30% of treatment has to be paid for heart operations in private hospitals, while the treatment is 100% free in government hospitals”.
Referring to the project, he added that it is hoped that the target set for this project will be achieved.
Talking about the crime rate, Naqvi stated that the crime rate has decreased but not as much as it should have been.
In response to a question, he said: “Action will be taken against those responsible, once the report of rainwater accumulation in Kalma Chowk underpass is received”.
Earlier, caretaker health minister of Punjab Dr. Javed Akram said that the name of Helath Card kept changing, people became billionaires using this card and so many heart stents were used for surgeries that the country ran out of stents.
