Firing took place over plot dispute during tribal council.


Peshawar: In an unfortunate incident, four people including councilor of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) have been killed due to firing in Deer colony of Peshawar.
According to police, firing took place over plot dispute during tribal council that killed four and injured two people.
Police told that the deceased include Malik Waheed Khan, Shakeel Khan, Rafaqat Khan and Nisar Khan. Malik Waheed was the councilor PTI in Hazar Khawani.
According to reports, a council meeting was underway between the first party Akhtar Ali and the second party Waheed in Ghafoorabad Hazar Khawani area of Rehman Baba police station, during which there was an exchange of fire, as a result Shakeel, Rafaqat, Nisar and Waheed Khan— a resident of Hazar Khawani— was killed while two people were injured.
The injured have been shifted to the hospital for treatment while the dead bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
As soon as the incident was reported, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Sadar Muhammad Ali along with the local police immediately reached the spot.
The investigation team of police collected important evidence from the spot while raids are being conducted on the possible hideouts of the accused to arrest them.
