Heavy rain disrupts flight schedules at Karachi Airport
Airport and airline authorities are working to manage the situation.


Karachi: Passengers are advised to stay updated with the latest flight information and contact their respective airlines for rescheduling or refund procedures.
Recent heavy rains and inclement weather have severely affected flight schedules at Karachi's Jinnah International Airport.
Multiple domestic and international flights have been canceled or delayed, causing inconvenience to passengers.
One such affected flight was the national airline's PK-306, scheduled to fly from Karachi to Lahore.
Passengers were informed about the cancellation and alternative arrangements were being made for them on other flights.
Similarly, PK-350, another flight operated by the national carrier from Karachi to Peshawar, was also affected due to adverse weather conditions.
Passengers were left stranded as the flight was canceled.
The scheduled flight of Serene Air from Karachi to Islamabad was also affected, leading to passengers being stranded due to flight takeoff suspension.
Apart from domestic flights, international travel was also disrupted.
The flight from Karachi to Tehran was canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions.
Emirates Airlines flight EK-609, scheduled to depart from Dubai to Karachi, remained grounded.
Airline authorities prioritized passenger safety, citing security concerns associated with the inclement weather.
