Islamabad: Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik criticised Israel for its statements regarding human rights in Pakistan on Wednesday.

Musadik stated during a news conference that "Israel's comments came in favor of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), which planned and carried out violent attacks against state institutions on May 9."

He claimed that Israel's statements on Pakistan during the 9/5 attacks, in which it supported the perpetrators of attacks on state institutions in a betrayal of the country's sovereignty, were unexpected.

Musadik stated: "The rupee is showing improvement against the dollar," in reference to the rupee's strengthening against the US currency.

"There are nine main types of crude oil in Russia. Deal with Russia will prove to be highly beneficial for the nation, he insisted.

"We also made an agreement with Azerbaijan on the petroleum. At the international level, we lack the authority to regulate petroleum product pricing.”, he added.

Petroleum Minister has stated that "A new policy is being developed. Every oil business that operates efficiently and effectively will work in the country", he added.
