Lahore: In a recent Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) meeting, the decision to replace foreign coaches Mickey Arthur and Grant Bradburn before the ICC World Cup was revoked.

According to sources, former coach Misbah-ul-Haq took a firm stance against changing the coaching staff abruptly.

He emphasized that while he understands the concerns about foreign coaches, sudden changes won't be a wise move.

Misbah-ul-Haq stated that both Mickey Arthur and Grant Bradburn should be given time, and any decision regarding their future roles should be made after the World Cup.

It was reported that Misbah recommended against appointing former Chief Secretary Punjab and ex-team manager, Naved Akram Cheema, as the team manager for the World Cup, citing disciplinary issues with some players under his management.

However, during the PCB meeting, it became apparent that the current team has no player who creates disciplinary problems for the management or requires drastic changes.

Sources also suggest that such decisions might hinder the team's performance in the upcoming World Cup.
