Toshakhana: PTI challenges Imran’s sentence in IHC

The petition told that it has been stated that the decision of trial court that Tosha Khana case is against the law.

Islamabad: An appeal has been filed against the conviction of Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan in the Tosha Khana case.

According to details, Khawaja Haris and Barrister Gohar filed an appeal against the sentence of chairman PTI in Tosha Khana case in Islamabad High Court (IHC).

In the appeal filed, it has been stated that the decision of trial court that Tosha Khana case is against the law. The sentence should be suspended pending the decision on the central appeal. Imran Khan should be released and the sentence should be annulled.

Earlier on August 05, Additional Sessions Judge Humayun Dilawar sentenced PTI chief to three years imprisonment and a fine of Rs100,000 in Toshakhana case.

After being sentenced by the court, the police arrested Imran Khan from his residence in Lahore and transferred him to Attock Jail.

Yesterday on Monday, PTI chairman Imran Khan was met by his lawyer Naeem Haider Manjhota in Attock jail.

After meeting him, Naeem Haider said that Khan told that he was kept in C-class jail that includes a small room with an open washroom. There were flies in the room during the day and bugs at night.
