Arrested PTI worker escapes police custody
PTI activists who had been involved in demonstrations opposing the detention of the PTI leader escaped from police custody.
Lahore: Amid protests outside Zaman Park following the arrest of a PTI chairman, the apprehended PTI worker managed to escape from police custody.
The Lahore police had previously arrested a PTI worker who was participating in protests against the arrest of the PTI chairman.
However, the said worker has now escaped police custody.
According to police authorities, as part of containing the protesting individuals, the accused were brought to Gari Shahu for registering a First Information Report (FIR).
During this process, the accused, Sajjad Ali, managed to flee.
Authorities have reported that a case has been registered against the escaped accused Sajjad Ali.
The filed case states that after Sajjad Ali Khan was arrested and judicially remanded, he was brought to Gari Shahu police station along with other detainees for lodging a First Information Report (FIR).
However, taking advantage of the situation, the accused managed to escape from the police station.
