Govt decides to outsource Islamabad Airport for 15 years

Islamabad: Federal Government of Pakistan outsourced Islamabad International Airport for 15 years.

The third-party will pay $100 million to the government as an advance.

According to the report, the third party will be allowed to build shopping malls and branded shops at the airport.

The third party will be responsible for administrative and financial affairs, design, construction, service charges, exchange rate, and shop rents.

The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) will be in charge of customs, site security, and immigration services. The demand for service recovery from the government is rejected as the people involved in Exit Control List (ECL) were not allowed to travel.

Civil Aviation Authority had demanded to collect the service charges from the government.

The Civil Aviation Authority issued an international tender a few days ago.
