Preparations for elections, new constituencies officially start today
According to the authorities, the borders of all administrative units of the country have been seized for this purpose.
Islamabad: In connection with the preparations for general elections, the work of new constituencies will officially begin from today (Monday).
According to the details, the work of forming committees for new constituencies across the country will start from Monday. According to the authorities, the borders of all administrative units of the country have been seized for this purpose.
It should be noted that Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to conduct new constituencies across the country after approving the data of the digital census 2023.
Administrative arrangements for new constituencies will be completed from August 22 to 31. The training for the committees will be from September 01 to 04.
With these committees, the details of the district quota of seats of National and Provincial Assemblies will be provided from September 05 to 07, while the preliminary constituencies will be completed by these committees by October 07.
The preliminary list of constituencies will be released by the committees on October 09, objections to which will be received from October 10 to November 08.
While these objections will be dealt with from November 10 to December 09. The final publication of constituencies will be on December 14.
