Four FC personnel martyred, six injured in Afghan cross-border attack

Rawalpindi: Four Frontier Corps (FC) soldiers were martyred while six others sustained injures after terrorists ambushed them near the Pakistan-Afghan border near Zhob district in Balochistan.

Four FC personnel martyred in Afghan cross-border attack

According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the FC personnel were working on fencing the border when they were attacked.

The military's media wing stated, “Today during fencing activity in Manzakai Sector, Distt Zhob, Balochistan along the Pakistan – Afghanistan Border, Terrorists from across Afghanistan ambushed FC troops moving for fencing.”

As a result of the ambush, four FC soldiers embraced martyrdom while six others got injured.

“FC troops responded promptly," the statement added.

The martyred officers have been identified as Noor Zaman, Shakeel Abbasi, Ehsanullah, and Rahib Sultan.

The deceased and injured have been shifted to the Combined Military Hospital (CMH), Quetta.

Moreover, Pakistan is installing fences on the border with Afghanistan to stop people from illegally crossing the border and nearly 182 kilometers of the border has been fenced.
