I no longer live aimless life: Sushmita Sen
I have realized that I am here in this world for a great work and a great purpose, said Sen.
Mumbai: Indian famous actress Sushmita Sen said that she was diagnosed with ‘Addison's disorder’ in 2020 which she struggled with for four years.
According to details, Sushmita stated that her body had become emaciated, severe anxiety and depression had developed, dark circles had formed around her eyes.
“Earlier this year, while shooting for the web show, I suffered a heart attack, underwent angioplasty and a heart stent,” the actress added.
Talking to the Indian media, Sushmita Sen told that after the heart attack, she has become more fearless.
I have realized that I am here in this world for a great work and a great purpose. Now I don't live life aimlessly, said Sen.
What is addison’s disorder?
Addison's disease can develop if one’s immune system attacks the adrenal glands and severely damages its adrenal cortex.
When 90% of the adrenal cortex is destroyed, the adrenal glands won't be able to produce enough of the steroid hormones cortisol and aldosterone.
