The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has de-notified Khalid Khursheed as Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.


Astore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) candidate Khurshid Khan won the by-election for the Gilgit-Baltistan Legislative Assembly (GBLA) 13-Astore-1.
According to reports, in the GBLA-13 by-election, PTI candidate Khurshid Khan received 6219 votes while Rana Farman Ali of the PML-N received 5225.
The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has de-notified Khalid Khursheed as Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan.
As per information, Khalid Khursheed was de-notified by Chief Election Commissioner Gilgit-Baltistan, and the de-notification notice was sent by the ECP office.
In this Astore district constituency, there are 56 voting places, of which 31 have been designated as normal, 12 as sensitive, and 13 as highly sensitive by the Gilgit-Baltistan Election Commission.
The number of poll attendants has been restricted at 264 to maintain transparency throughout the constituency's voting process, while 363 authorities will be in charge of keeping voters safe throughout voting. There are 33,378 registered voters in the constituency overall, 15,147 of them are women and 18,231 men.
A close race is anticipated in the by-election between Khurshid Ahmed Khan of the PTI, Abdul Hameed of the PPP, and Rana Farman of the PML-N.
