Islamabad: The prime suspect in the Sara Inam murder case, Shahnawaz Amir, testified in the Islamabad District and Sessions Court, and requested more time to present evidence.
Judge Nasir Javed Rana presided over the hearing, with Investigating Officer Nawaz Ali presenting case records, and Prosecutor Hasan Abbas also in attendance.
Co-accused Samina Amir Shah was permanently exempted from appearing in court but was present at the hearing. Sara Inam's father, Inamur Rahim, was in attendance, while the plaintiff's lawyer, Rao Abdul Rahim, couldn't be present due to being out of the country.
Shahnawaz Amir's statement, which was left incomplete during the previous hearing, was recorded. When asked about providing evidence for his defense, Shahnawaz Amir requested more time, and the court granted an extension until November 1.
