Pakistan stands with Palestinians, says Maulana Fazl
The JUI-F chief says Pakistanis have sent a message to the world that the nation stands with Palestinians in solidarity
Quetta: In a a pro-Palestinian march in Quetta, Jamiat Ulema Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman said that his party had firmly opposed what he characterized as a pro-Israel position in Pakistan.
Fazlur Rehman emphasized Pakistan's unequivocal support for the Palestinian cause and called on America and Europe to recognize the solidarity of Pakistanis with the Palestinian people.
He stated, “Pakistanis have sent a message to the world that the nation stands with Palestinians in solidarity,”.
The JUI-F chief went on to express the deep-rooted commitment of Pakistan to the Palestinian struggle for independence.
During his address, he also criticized Israel's actions, specifically noting Israel's contention that Hamas did not deserve sympathy. He also made a noteworthy observation, declaring, “The US is no longer a superpower,”.
Fazlur Rehman stressed that it was imperative for Muslim countries to empathize with the plight of the Palestinians in their time of need.
Furthermore, he expressed astonishment at the world's seeming silence in the face of the atrocities committed by Israel against the Palestinian population. Maulana Fazlur Rehman concluded his address by announcing his intention to embark on a nationwide campaign to raise awareness among Muslims about the suffering endured by the Palestinians.
