Islamabad: An accountability court in the federal capital on Thursday summoned former president Asif Ali Zardari and others in Park Lane reference.

Judge Muhammad Bashir of the accountability court heard the case in which the attorney claimed that Asif Zardari was not Park Lane's director at the time of the agreement.

The hearing was postponed till December 20 after the court issued an order to summon Asif Zardari, a former president, and others in relation to the Park Lane case.

Earlier, an accountability court in the federal capital on Wednesday summoned former president Asif Ali Zardari and others in Thatta Water Supply project.

The case was heard by Judge Muhammad Bashir of the accountability court, who notified the former president and others to appear before the Islamabad bureau on December 18.

A corruption reference against former president and PPP co-chair Asif Ali Zardari was returned to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) in January by an accountability court in the nation's capital.

Judge Rana Nasir Javed of the accountability court heard arguments from both sides before announcing the reserved verdict. Following changes to the NAB laws, the judge ruled that the corruption reference was outside the accountability court's purview.
