Nation needs honest leaders to steer Pakistan out of crises: Pervez Khattak

Peshawar: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Parliamentarians Chief Pervez Khattak said that the critical need for individuals with integrity in light of the challenging economic and political circumstances faced by the nation.

Khatak expressed that his party is acutely aware of the public's issues and is committed to delivering their rights directly to their doorsteps. He was addressing an induction ceremony in Malakand on Saturday.

The PTI-Parliamentarian leader underscored that substantial reforms were implemented in the province during his five-year tenure. He also acknowledged the need for reform and improvement.

Khattak went on to remark that the promises of a "New Pakistan" made by the PTI chairman were merely superficial, and he had initially supported the chairman in his efforts to reform the system. However, he contended that all those slogans turned out to be false, highlighting that the PTI chief appeared to be unresponsive to anyone's input.

He posed a question, "What progress has been achieved during the four years of PTI?"

Additionally, Khattak commented that the PTI chairman appeared to engage in divisive politics by harboring animosity towards all political parties and their leaders.

Turning his attention to the nation's debt crisis, a PTI-P leader pointed out that the entire political leadership was treating the country as if it were an adversary, making it unlikely that the loans from the IMF could be repaid in the near future.

During the event, former Chief Minister Mehmood Khan emphasized their ongoing efforts for the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and highlighted the instrumental role played by institutions in the establishment and stability of Pakistan.
