Three accused of gang selling human kidney arrested

Lahore: Another case of kidney transplant came to light in Lahore where police arrested three suspects of the gang selling human kidneys.

According to the details, the arrested accused have been identified as Raza Masih, Liaqat and Zulfiqar, who used to lure poor people to take kidneys.

Police stated that the accused used to hand over the people to a person named Dr. Adil and paid Rs2,00,000 to the victim in exchange for a kidney.

The police added that the money was not paid to the victim Akram after removing his kidney, who contacted the police and arrested him.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Sadar Sidra Khan said that a kidney would have been sold for 2.5 to 05 million rupees if the donor had contacted the doctor directly.

She stated that the gang used to take out the kidney on the pretext of medical test to give a job. The target of the accused are poor and kiln workers.
