Islamabad: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan declared on Wednesday that the party's founder would contest elections in three constituencies—Lahore, Mianwali, and Islamabad.

Gohar Khan said that even if 41 parties form an alliance, PTI would emerge victorious, emphasizing the importance of people exercising their right to vote.

The decision to lift the punishment imposed on the PTI founder is expected to be announced soon.

Encouraging participation in the February 8 elections, the PTI chairman urged the Chief Justice of Pakistan to play a role in preventing violations of people's rights.

Barrister Ali Zafar emphasized the PTI's desire for elections on February 8 and announced that the distribution of party tickets would be completed soon, with preference given to candidates who have made sacrifices for the party. He warned that democracy would be at risk without fair elections.

Barrister Zafar disclosed that the PTI founder would receive nomination papers on Thursday, expressing concern about the undemocratic practice of snatching nomination papers from PTI candidates. He asserted the party's intention to challenge this in court.

Despite reported incidents, Barrister Zafar clarified that the party does not support the demand for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner.

Gohar addressed the issue of symbol allocation, asserting the right of the largest political party in the country to receive an electoral symbol. Discussions with the PTI founder regarding ticket distribution are in progress.
