Islamabad: Caretaker Minister for Information Technology (IT) and Telecommunications, Umar Saif, announced positive developments for freelancers in Pakistan, revealing that PayPal is set to introduce its services in the country.

Dr. Umar Saif mentioned that PayPal would collaborate with a third-party gateway to facilitate international payments in Pakistan, marking a strategic partnership for their presence in the country.

The move is expected to have a beneficial impact on the freelance community in Pakistan.

Besides it, the government, under Dr. Umar Saif's leadership, is launching a project to establish 10,000 E-Rozgar centers nationwide from January 11.

The centers will provide freelancers and startups with modern facilities, addressing the current challenge of insufficient workspaces for approximately 1.5 million freelancers in the country.

The initiative aims to boost investment, create job opportunities, and encourage youth to explore entrepreneurship through E-Rozgar, enabling them to earn more stipends per month in the digital landscape.
