Shehbaz reacts to Bilawal’s debate challenge to Nawaz
The PML-N president says it would have been better if he had invited Nawaz Sharif for an inspection of Sindh instead of a debate; there would have been both debate and comparison.
Lahore: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) President and former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has reacted to Pakistan Peoples’Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari’s invitation to former three-time Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for pre-election open debate.
Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, Shehbaz Sharif without mentioning Bilawal Bhutto’s name said that “Yesterday, a gentleman invited Nawaz Sharif for a debate. It would have been better if he had invited Nawaz Sharif for an inspection of Sindh instead of a debate; there would have been both debate and comparison,”.
On Friday, Bilawal had extended an invitation to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Supremo Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif for a pre-election open debate.
Taking to X, previously known as Twitter, Bilawal Bhutto offered Nawaz Sharif to engage in a debate at any location and time before February 8th.
He wrote, “I invite the PM candidate of @pmln_org, @NawazSharifMNS, to engage in a debate with me anytime, anywhere before Feb 8. Globally, Presidential and Prime Ministerial candidates participate in televised debates, providing voters with crucial insights into their plans. This transparency is vital for an informed electorate ahead of the voting process,”.
This is for the first time that a quite younger in the politics has gave an open challenge to a former three-time prime minister of the country.
