Seven flights cancelled due to weather, operational reasons
The British Airways flight from Islamabad to London was delayed by 24 hours from the schedule today at 7:00am.
Islamabad: Seven flights in the country were canceled on Saturday due to bad weather and operational reasons.
According to aviation authorities, due to operational reasons, the flight of a private airline from Muscat to Lahore was shifted to Sialkot, while the flight operation of Gilgit-Skardu has been affected due to snowfall in the upper regions of the country.
On Saturday, four flights from Islamabad to Gilgit have been cancelled. The flight of a private airline from Islamabad to Karachi has also been canceled following the operational concerns, while the flights of foreign airlines from Najaf to Lahore have also been cancelled.
Due to operative reasons, the British Airways flight from Islamabad to London was delayed by 24 hours from the schedule today at 7:00am, while Quetta to Dubai flight also could not depart for the last 22 hours.
In addition, according to the Quetta Airport Manager, the weather in Quetta got worse at the time of the scheduled departure of the flight from Dubai. The plane could not take off due to intense winds. After which based on operational reasons, the departure was prevented. And that is how more than 25 arrival and departure flights got delayed at different airports of the country.
