JI Karachi emir accuses MQM-P of electoral malpractice
Hafiz Naeem alleges that MQM-P indulged in electoral fraud in Karachi, asserting free control over the city once more.
Karachi: Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan's Karachi Emir Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman on Thursday accused the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) of electoral malpractice during the 2024 general elections.
In a video message circulated on social media, Hafiz Naeem alleged that MQM-P indulged in electoral fraud in Karachi, asserting free control over the city once more.
The JI Karachi leader highlighted incidents where MQM workers took charge of polling stations immediately after polling concluded.
Throughout the day, reports surfaced regarding missing voter boxes at various locations, accompanied by several instances of pre-stamped ballots discovered by JI workers. Hafiz Naeem emphasized, "While fair polling characterized the day, MQM workers are now seizing control of polling stations in the evening."
Instances of firing were reported in Shah Faisal Colony and other areas, creating an atmosphere of intimidation in the presence of Rangers personnel.
