Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) president and former Punjab Chief Minister Pervez Elahi has decided to participate in the by-elections.
According to the details, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the schedule for the by-elections across the country.
On Wednesday, the ECP announced the election schedule for the by-elections of National Assembly and Provincial Assemblies across the country, under which elections will be held on April 21 on vacant seats across the country.
After the schedule, the news has come out that PTI President Chaudhry Pervez Elahi will also participate in the by-elections.
According to the media reports, Chaudhry Pervez Elahi will participate in the by-election for the seat of PP-32 provincial constituency of Gujarat.
It is pertinent to note that the seat of PP-32 has become vacant after the leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) and Federal Minister for Overseas Chaudhry Salik Hussain became Member of National Assembly (MNA).
It is also reported that the family members have met Pervez Elahi in the jail and signed the papers for the by-election.
