IHC orders to immediately de-seal PTI Secretariat
The court said that CDA had issued notices to the previous owner in 2022 and 2023 and no explanation could be given
Islamabad: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Tuesday ordered immediate de-sealing of the central secretariat of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Islamabad High Court Justice Saman Rifat Imtiaz delivered a reserved judgment in which the court said that Capital Development Authority (CDA) had issued notices to the previous owner in 2022 and 2023 and no explanation could be given as to why notices were sent to the old owner.
The court judgment said that no receipt of service of notice or show cause notice was on record. The order to seal the PTI office by CDA was not written to PTI nor a copy was sent.
The court ordered the PTI secretariat to be de-sealed immediately and that CDA can take action if there is any violation of the law.
Yesterday, the IHC had reserved its decision on the petition against the sealing of the PTI central secretariat and the operation.
