T20 WC: Pakistan, Canada to lock horns today
After the defeat to America and India, it seems difficult for the national team to reach the Super-VIII stage
New York: After losing the International Cricket Council (ICC) T20 Men’s World Cup 2024 match to India, the national team will try their best against weak Canada today.
According to the details, in the 22nd match of T20 World Cup hosted by USA and West Indies organized by ICC, Pakistan and Canada teams will face each other at Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. The match will start at 7:30pm Pakistan time.
After the defeat to America and India, it seems difficult for the national team to reach the Super-VIII stage. After losing two matches, Pakistan will now have to depend on other teams to reach the next stage. Pakistan must win the remaining two matches and USA must lose both matches to qualify.
Pakistan has to play the next two matches against Canada and Ireland while America has to compete against India and Ireland. If the host wins one more match then they will qualify for the Super-VIII. The match against Ireland will be a knockout.
After the worst defeat of the national cricket team by India, the Pakistani fans are very disappointed. They say that the Indian bowlers beat the Pakistani batsmen, the performance of the team is zero and there is no account of concessions.
The fans also stated that Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan are the top batsmen, when the day came to show the real performance, they were piled up. Babar Azam is the captain but he does not make runs, his hands and feet would swell in front of India.
On the other hand, after losing the match, Babar Azam said that the pitch was good, the ball was coming well on the bat, and the first 10 overs were played well in the batting, however, they could not do well batting the remaining 10 overs of the innings, some balls did not hit the bat as expected.
