Ata Tarar says state to counter campaign against CJP

Information minister says the state is committed to curbing the spread of hatred within the country

Islamabad: Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar  on Monday said that no one will be allowed to run malicious campaign Chief Justice of Pakistan Qazi Faez Isa.

Speaking to a press conference, after meeting with Ulema at Commissioner’s Office, he emphasized that 
the state will put its all effort to counter such religious decrees against anyone in the country.

“The state is committed to curbing the spread of hatred within the country,” Tarar said while condemning the threats and instigation against the CJP.

Information minister reiterated that belief in the finality of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) is a fundamental aspect of Islam. He highlighted the significant sacrifices made by Ulema in Pakistan. “The decree against the CJP as contrary to law, morality, and religion,” minister said and continued that an FIR with terrorism and hate clauses has been registered against the offender.
