PTI leader says he clarified that he had not been expelled from the party

Rawalpindi: PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat on Saturday announced that PTI founder Imran Khan has forgiven him.
Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Marwat disclosed that he had met Imran Khan for the first time in nearly three months. He extended his hand in greeting, and Khan embraced him, addressing Marwat's absence with criticism.
Marwat confirmed that all differences between them have been resolved. He apologized for any past issues and requested that no further difficulties be created for him. He clarified that he had not been expelled from the party and that any notification suggesting otherwise was false. Only Imran Khan has the authority to expel him, he said.
Marwat emphasized that his respect and affection for Khan remain intact despite any rumors. He described the respect and affection he received from Khan as a lifelong asset.
Marwat also mentioned that Barrister Gohar had received explicit instructions from Khan on handling party matters. "Khan had made it clear that no disagreements would be tolerated and that all issues should be resolved collectively," Marwat added.
He expressed the public's desire for democracy in Pakistan and pledged to combat human rights violations. Marwat announced plans to mobilize thousands for a rally in Islamabad on August 22, stating that those who wish to arrest them are welcome to do so. "Imran Khan has assigned me the responsibility for the August 22 rally," Marwat noted.
He assured that their approach would be peaceful and warned that any attempts to disrupt their efforts would face public backlash. Marwat committed to taking full responsibility for any future issues and denied any contact with General Faiz, labeling such claims as unfounded. It is noteworthy that Khan had previously declined several requests from Marwat for a meeting.
