Main suspect of Balaj Tipu murder case killed in encounter

Lahore: Ahsan Shah, the main suspect in the murder case of Ameer Balaj Tipu—the son of Tipu Truckanawala—was killed in an alleged encounter.

According to the details, the Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Organised Crime Unit said that the accused Ahsan Shah was injured by the firing of his colleagues and was shifted to the hospital, but he could not survive.

The police said that Ahsan Shah was being taken for identification when his brother attacked him along with unknown accomplices to rescue him.

They stated that Ahsan Shah was injured during the alleged encounter and died of his injuries.

It is pertinent to note that earlier on February 18, Ameer Balaj Tipu was shot dead at a wedding ceremony.

According to Lahore Police, Tipu Truckanwala's son Ameer Balaj was attending the wedding ceremony of former DSP Akbar Iqbal Bala's son in a private housing society near Thokar Niaz Baig Lahore.

During the wedding ceremony, one of the assailants opened fire, injuring three people including Ameer Balaj Tipu, who was shifted to the hospital.

According to the police, Balaj Tipu succumbed to his injuries while the assailant was also killed on the spot by firing from the bodyguards of the deceased Tipu.
