London: England defeated Sri Lanka by 190 runs in the second Test to take a 2-0 lead in the three-match series.
Chasing a target of 483, Sri Lanka resumed their incomplete second innings at 53 for two and were bowled out for 292 on the fourth day of game at Lord's Cricket Ground.
Damith Karunaratne of Sri Lanka scored 55 runs, Dinesh Chandimala scored 58, and Dhananjaya De Silva stood out by scoring 50 runs. Milan Ratnayake, batting at number nine, scored 43 runs.
England's Gus Atkinson scored 62 runs and dismissed five players. Chris Woakes and Ollie Stone took two wickets each.
England's Joe Root scored centuries in both innings in the Lord's Test.
It is pertinent to note that England has an unbeaten lead of 2-0 in the three-match series.
