Islamabad: Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman reaffirmed that his party will continue to be a part of the opposition.

“Joining the government that conflicts with the interests of the people would only invite public wrath,” he said during the meeting with senior politician Muhammad Ali Durani.

According to sources, the meeting took place late into the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, involved discussions on political matters and future strategies.

During the conversation, Maulana Fazlur Rehman made it clear that JUI-F remains firmly in the opposition and will not support any government engaged in legislation that contradicts the Constitution and democracy.

He asserted that aligning with a government whose actions are at odds with public interests would be equivalent to provoking public outrage.

JUI (F) chief emphasized the need for political authority granted by the people and stressed that there would be no tolerance for any future mandate theft.

In response, Mohammad Ali Durrani praised Maulana for his steadfast commitment to political traditions and democratic values, recognizing his role in guiding the political discourse in the right direction.
