Quetta: The Balochistan government has announced a three-day mourning from Monday for the Quetta blast in which 26 people were martyred and 62 people were injured.

According to the Balochistan government, the national flag will remain at half-mast on government buildings until November 13.

After discussing the security situation after the suicide attack, Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi said that it has been decided to crush the terrorists with full force and they will rest only after eliminating terrorism from Balochistan.

In a meeting on the security situation with the Chief Minister of Balochistan, the federal interior minister also announced the provision of necessary resources to the provincial government on a priority basis.

On this occasion, Balochistan Chief Minister Sarfraz Bugti said that steps will be taken to increase the professional capacity of police and levies with the support of the federal government.

It is pertinent to note that a case of explosion at Quetta railway station was registered against unknown persons in the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) police station on the complaint of the Station House Officer (SHO) railway yesterday.

According to the CTD officials, the provisions of murder, attempted murder, anti-terrorism, and explosives act were included in the case. 27 people were martyred and 62 were injured in the suicide attack.

CTD officials said that the suicide bomber blew himself up after reaching among the passengers. The suicide bomber was carrying a bag of 8-10 kg of explosives. The body parts of the suicide bomber will be sent to the forensic lab for testing and NADRA will also help to identify the suicide bomber.

According to the railway officials, Jaffar Express was supposed to leave for Peshawar at 9 o'clock. The train was not yet on the platform when the explosion occurred near the ticket house at the railway station.

Commissioner Quetta Muhammad Hamza Shafqat also confirmed that the explosion at the railway station was a suicide attack on a law enforcement agency. Civilians were also targeted. The martyred and injured people in the suicide attack belong to Balochistan and different cities of the country.
