Islamabad: Pakistan is presently experiencing the fourth wave of coronavirus which is said to be deadlier and more contagious than previous three waves.

66 more perish in Pakistan amid devastating COVID-19 surge

According to National Command and Operations Center (NCOC), around 3,800 cases of coronavirus were reported while 66 people succumbed to the disease in the last 24 hours, taking the total death toll to 25,670.

The total number of cases has reached 1,156,281.

As many as 1,036,921 patients have recovered from the disease with 5,612 critical cases.

Punjab                          

The number of patients swelled to 391,297 in the province with 11,823 causalities.

Sindh

The number of infections has surged to 430,594 in the province, while the death toll has reached 6,834.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The confirmed cases have surged to 161,381 in the province with 4,944 casualties.

Balochistan

There are 32,200 confirmed cases while 338 patients have died from the infection so far.

AJK and Gilgit-Baltistan

There are 31,988 coronavirus cases in the AJK while the death toll has reached 695. On the other hand, there are 9,870 cases in GB with 173 coronavirus deaths.

Islamabad

There are 98,951 cases in the capital city while 863 people have lost their lives.
