Chris Gayle comes forward in support of Pakistan, becomes top twitter trend
Renowned West Indian batsman Chris Gayle lit the internet on fire, saying he is willing to travel to Pakistan after New Zealand's decision to abandon their limited-overs tour—minutes before the first match citing security reasons.
On his official twitter handle, Chris, in a jest, said “I am going to Pakistan tomorrow, who coming with me?”
The announcement of him seems mysterious whether he is coming or not. However, his tweet attracted Pakistani fans leaving them more than excited.
After Chris Gayle tweet, several Pakistan cricketers also responded warmly and welcomed the swashbuckling batter’s decision.
Gayle is currently in United Arab Emirates (UAE) training with Punjab Kings side for remainder of IPL 2021 beginning on Sunday.
Some other cricket legends also back Pakistani security agencies and also critised New Zealand's decision of abandoning series against.
