Pakistan lowers COVID vaccination eligibility age to 12
In a major development, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) decided to reduce minimum age for Covid-19 vaccination from 15 to 12 years.
Islamabad: Pakistan has decided to administer COVID-19 vaccines to citizens of 12 years old and above, Chairman of the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC) Asad Umar said on Tuesday.
On his official twitter handle, Asad Umar wrote, “In today’s NCOC meeting decided to start vaccination of all 12 years and older”.
He further added that special drive will be run for vaccination at schools to make it easier for children to be inoculated against novel coronavirus.
